LOGO TORO 2.jpg

It is a representative liquor of the municipality of Boca del Río whose origin dates back to when the day laborers after working prepared a drink made of liquor with cane alcohol and fruit, which when consumed made them feel like 'bulls'.

The recipe for this drink was passed down from generation to generation until the present day when there are already families dedicated to the production and sale of this drink. In addition, there are several flavors to choose from such as capuate, soursop, coconut, mango, strawberry, nanche, among others.

I don't know Lorenzo Montalvo Iglesias, president of the Boca del Río Restaurant Association and producer of Torito, details that it is a typical drink that is born in Sotavento. He narrates that the name was given by the day laborers, since after finishing their eight hours of work they made this drink, whose main ingredient is cane alcohol, they reported that when they took it they felt like a “bull”, which helped them to continue with his journey.
